Tax Rate: $1.2947, up $0.1019 Local Res: $2.037, down $0.0341 At $9,999,327, the proposed Enosburg Falls Graded School District budget for the coming school year is up four percent from the current year. Most increases in the elementary school budget — up $104,290 overall — are in health insurance and special education teacher and paraeducator salaries, with an array of part- and full-time teaching, coaching and support services positions being added or increased. Per pupil spending is up just $353 per pupil in the proposed budget. At the high school level, special education costs are anticipated to drop some $36,000. Wages and health insurance across many departments again make up the lion's share of the overall $236,860 increase at the middle and high school. An increase of $40,521 in instructional salaries at Cold Hollow Career Center is partially offset by a $26,616 salary decrease in adult education. Administration health insurance costs are also dropping some $10,690. An informational meeting is set for Thursday, March 15 at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
